    Libby Bonesteel

    Libby Bonesteel is the Superintendent of Schools for Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools, a position she has held for the past 3 years. Her professional passions are in systems thinking, leadership development, and literacy instruction. After work hours, you will find Libby hanging out with her two kids, hiking in the woods, tending to her garden, or deep in a book.

    Gwen Carmoli

    Board President

    Gwen Carmolli is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for Colchester School District. She serves on the board of directors for Champlain Valley Educator Development Center, Vermont Curriculum Leaders Association, Snelling Center for Government, and on the Vermont legislature's Advisory Council for Literacy. Gwen loves to read, jog, eat circus peanuts (the worst candy in the world), and lead learning. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for students and educational leaders across Vermont!

  • Christian Courtemanche, M.Ed.

    Board Secretary

    Christian has been a Vermont educator for over 15 years as a classroom teacher and a curriculum specialist in both math and science. He offers workshops, courses, and district-consulting work around rich math instruction, differentiation methods that meet the range of learners, and strategies for impactful coaching. He is passionate about bringing wonder into curriculum, as well as curiosity around the needs of all children in their learning.

    When not working with teachers and schools, Christian enjoys playing mandolin and spending time outside with his family.

  • Megan Grube

    Megan Grube is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology for the Grand Isle Supervisory Union.

    Prior to coming to GISU, she worked as a School Effectiveness Coordinator for the Agency of Education and was an inaugural Ferguson Fellow focusing on effective implementation of MTSS in charter, public, urban and rural settings.

    She earned her master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2012 after completing the Mind, Brain and Education program focusing on how cognitive neuroscience, psychology and pedagogy intersect and how to affect systemic change for all students.

  • Bill Kimball

    Board Treasurer

    William (Bill) Kimball, Ed.D., is an accomplished educational leader with a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence and community engagement. With over two decades of experience in various leadership roles, including his current position as Superintendent of Schools at Maple Run Unified School District, Bill has demonstrated exceptional ability in managing complex educational systems. His expertise spans human resources, curriculum development, data-driven decision-making, and the implementation of proficiency-based learning initiatives. Throughout his career, Bill has successfully overseen the operations of multiple schools, directly supervising administrators and central office staff, and ensuring that educational institutions under his leadership achieve their goals of enhancing student and staff learning outcomes.

    Bill's dedication to education is further reflected in his academic achievements, including an Ed. D. in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, where he focused on how rural New England superintendents create community engagement. His leadership extends beyond the school district to various professional associations and advisory boards, where he has contributed to the advancement of educational technology and curriculum development. An advocate for lifelong learning, Bill also enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and fly fishing, which reflect his passion for both personal and professional growth.
